Valiant Game Studio is an independent computer game company based in Stockholm, Sweden. We’re just about to leave the platform and set out on our first adventure, as this crazy train we’re feeding lumps of creative passion into is gaining speed by the hour.

Our goal is to create games with focus on the social aspects of classic role-playing games. We firmly believe that games can be more than just shallow entertainment, and aim to deliver experiences that can teach you something about the physical world around you while you explore the digital one.

The Team

Anna Jenelius

Anna Jenelius

CEO, Creative Director

Anna has worked with games since 2011 – her first jobs were as a freelance artist and animator while getting her game design degree. In 2012, she join the industry properly when she became a QA tester at Paradox Interactive. When she left the company, 3,5 years later, she did so a Senior QA Manager at the Development Studio. The time had come to make games on her own, however, and that’s why she founded her first game company Talecore Studios. Six months later, she released her first title, Midvinter.

Since then, Anna has, besides developing on her second game, worked as a freelance narrative designer for Lionbite as well as taught game design at prestigious game development school Futuregames. Now, however, her focus is growing Valiant Game Studio into a flowering story-focused game studio!

In addition to making games, Anna also does public speaking as well as hosts one of Sweden’s biggest recurring gamedev meetups, Link in Park/Bar – among other things.

Laura Bularca

Laura Bularca has a background in games journalism, and switched over to the development side in 2009. She’s worked at companies like FunLABS/Activision, Milestone and SimBin, before moving over to Sweden Game Arena and Gothia Innovation. She’s also an independent game developer by night, currently working on an optimistic strategy game called Heart. Papers. Border.

Laura’s a star when it comes to the business and marketing side of game development, and she knows everyone!

Eva Sokolova

Concept/Props Artist

Eva is a skillful 2D and 3D artist, who graduated from Uppsala University campus Gotland earlier in 2017. While studying, she’s been involved in diversity initiative Diversi – among other things. She’s freelancing as a Concept and Props Artist for Project Aftermath, and helps bringing the magic into the game!

Chris is a veteran in the industry, known for his work on titles such as Pillars of Eternity, Planescape: Torment, Divinity: Original Sin II and the Fallout series – among many other.

He’s a great help when it comes to input on the narrative side of our games.

Armin did an incredible job on viral hit Goat Simulator while he still worked at Coffee Stain. Today, he has founded a new company, Double Moose, together with Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg.

His advice when it comes to how to market games is invaluable.
