For the love of farming, and memes!
- Birds and the Bees, Honey! (working title) is a strategic farming sim where you take care of bees, make mead, and befriend and/or romance a mysterious plague doctor.
- Mechanically, it’s inspired by farming sims like Stardew Valley, hexagon-based strategy games like Dorfromantik, and dating sims like A Date with Death.
- Thematically, it’s inspired by memes about medieval beekeepers and plague doctors, as well as the developer’s long experience making mead.

In the prototype, you find all core mechanics:
- Build your apiary from tiles such as flowers, bee hives, trees, and mead makers.
- Harvest and forage, depending on the changing seasons.
- Care for your bees – clean the hives, protect the bees from pests, and feed them in winter.
- Brew mead from your honey, discover and perfect different types, and add taste from what you have foraged. You can also make beeswax candles.
- Build a relationship with the Plague Doctor.
- Trade with the Plague Doctor and earn money you can spend on expansions, improvements and cosmetics.
