For the love of farming, and memes!

Birds and the Bees, Honey! (working title) is a strategic farming sim where you take care of bees, make mead, and befriend and/or romance a mysterious plague doctor.
Mechanically, it’s inspired by farming sims like Stardew Valley, hexagon-based strategy games like Dorfromantik, and dating sims like A Date with Death.
Thematically, it’s inspired by memes about medieval beekeepers and plague doctors, as well as the developer’s long experience making mead.

In the prototype, you find all core mechanics:

Build your apiary from tiles such as flowers, bee hives, trees, and mead makers.
Harvest and forage, depending on the changing seasons.
Care for your bees – clean the hives, protect the bees from pests, and feed them in winter.
Brew mead from your honey, discover and perfect different types, and add taste from what you have foraged. You can also make beeswax candles.
Build a relationship with the Plague Doctor.
Trade with the Plague Doctor and earn money you can spend on expansions, improvements and cosmetics.
